\u201cAlways it is by bridges that we live\u201d<\/em> – from Bridge for the Living<\/em>, Philip Larkin, Collected Poems, 2003.<\/p>\n

London is a bridge. It is the lowest point at which the Thames could be bridged. It joins people. It makes connections. Diverse connections.<\/p>\n

Eleven members of The London Group<\/a> identify in their work a permanent momentum to cross-reference, reach over to other domains, link and re-orientate.<\/p>\n

Laura Carey <\/strong>will be exhibiting works that explore the cultural differences between generational bridges.<\/p>\n

Marenka Gabeler <\/strong>turns over a new leaf in work about memory and forgetting.<\/p>\n

Aude H\u00e9rail J\u00e4ger <\/strong>transforms past experiences into something new.<\/p>\n

Samantha Jarman <\/strong>re-appropriates defective objects with visible mending.<\/p>\n

Amanda Loomes <\/strong>shows a video diptych of farming and butchery.<\/p>\n

Charlotte C. Mortensson <\/strong>shows an installation about the iconic Jamaican film star and fisherman, Countryman, and his wife Delsey.<\/p>\n

Susan Sluglett <\/strong>is artist in residence at the Borough Road Gallery working with\u00a0A David Bomberg Legacy \u2013 The Sarah Rose Collection<\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Suzan Swale <\/strong>shows work about psychological spaces and will be having a solo exhibition at The Cello Factory in November 2015.<\/p>\n

Tisna Westerhof <\/strong>takes the fabric of domestic life and reconfigures it to explore nostalgia, identity and the loss of innocence of our society.<\/p>\n

Susan Wilson <\/strong>has recently shown \u2018A tiny bridge\/Christchurch NZ\/Earthquake<\/em>\u2019 in a solo exhibition at Browse & Darby.<\/p>\n

Erika Winstone <\/strong>will make a space to allow a meeting between that which is fluid in motion and that which is formed however transitory.<\/p>\n
